If unsure, it's always safest to check with your GP before mixing CBD products with any prescription medication.

CBD can increase the effect of blood thinning medications such as Warfarin by lowering blood pressure and therefore causing the body to take longer metabolising these drugs.

CBD can also increase the effect of sedatives.

Last but not least, you may have heard that many drugs can’t be taken alongside eating grapefruit. This is because grapefruit inhibits the metabolic process which changes the effects of these drugs and can cause side effects such as dizziness, difficulty breathing, drowsiness and more.

CBD can inhibit drug metabolization in the same way, and therefore should not be taken alongside any medication that has a warning about taking grapefruit on the label.

To be safe, always check with your GP about any potential conflict with your current prescription medication.
